Anti-nuclear protesters blocked all entrances to a naval base in Faslane, Scotland on Monday, calling on the UK to scrap its nuclear weapons program.
The base houses the UK's Trident nuclear weapons system, which has become a hot button issue in the country's upcoming elections.
While the leading Labour and Conservative parties support renewing Trident, the UK's Scottish National Party (SNP) is opposed. SNP Leader Nicola Sturgeon said last week that the issue would be a "red line" for a potential coalition with the Labour party.
On Twitter, supporters of the Scrap Trident campaign shared images from the protest.
