For every 1000 signatures, NationofChange will send a letter to Congress demanding that they keep the pre-existing condition clause in their new health care plan.

Before Obamacare it was nearly impossible for individuals with pre-existing medical conditions to find health insurance coverage.

Now that President Trump and the Republican Party are in power and want to repeal Obamacare and replace it with their own health care system, millions of people are once again in danger of not qualifying for health insurance coverage because of a pre-existing condition.

Even those that do qualify may face extremely expensive and/or limited insurance coverage.

Please join us in demanding that Congress retain the pre-existing condition clause for whatever health care system they plan to replace Obamacare with so that millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions can maintain their level of health care without their price skyrocketing.

  • United States Congress People:

I am concerned about my country. This is what I want to say to our Legislators—

The United States is often exemplified as a Christian country. However, our Constitution does not contain a single mention of God. Our Founding Fathers gave us a secular republic, a constitutional democracy.

Nevertheless, most of our Legislators often tout the United States as a Christian country, so the political decisions they make regarding money and taking care of people could easily reflect both the Constitution and the Bible.

When making decisions about taking care of people and our earth, I’m asking our self-professed Christian legislators to consider guidance from these passages from scripture:

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. (1Timothy 6:10)

If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor . . . (Matthew 19:21)
. . . do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. (Deuteronomy 15:7)

Command [the rich] to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. (1 Timothy 6:18)
. . . You have hoarded wealth in these last days. You have not paid wages to the people who work in your fields. Listen to their complaints. . . . You have lived on the earth in luxury and self-indulgence. . . . You have condemned and murdered innocent people, . . . (James 5:3-6)

The Golden Rule shows how to understand compassion for all. Look into your own heart, ask if any would suffer pain from your decisions; and then refuse to inflict that pain, under any circumstances whatsoever, on anyone. Do not do to others what you would not like them to do to you.

    Sincerely

    Sylvia Lambert
