For every 1000 signatures, NationofChange will send a letter to Congress demanding that they keep the pre-existing condition clause in their new health care plan.

Before Obamacare it was nearly impossible for individuals with pre-existing medical conditions to find health insurance coverage.

Now that President Trump and the Republican Party are in power and want to repeal Obamacare and replace it with their own health care system, millions of people are once again in danger of not qualifying for health insurance coverage because of a pre-existing condition.

Even those that do qualify may face extremely expensive and/or limited insurance coverage.

Please join us in demanding that Congress retain the pre-existing condition clause for whatever health care system they plan to replace Obamacare with so that millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions can maintain their level of health care without their price skyrocketing.

  • I went without any health coverage for over 5 years because I couldn’t afford the personal coverage plans in Minnesota; I lost teeth because of this. I was disabled & my disability was not yet approved by the AMA/etc. I had to take early retirement so my Social Security monthly check was almost cut in half by “pro-rating” {sic}; once I got to be 65 I was finally covered, though not very well. If I had had access to something like the ACA those five-plus long years I could have had dental care & some other reparative surgery. There is NO excuse for this kind of neglect of vulnerable adults in the USA. I will never forget.

  • Lower premiums is OK but at what cost. I do not want to see the deductibles go so high we are not able to afford to go to the doctor and the coverage (e.g. what percent of the expense is covered by insurance also needs to be reasonable)
  • Abolishing pre-existing conditions in the health program is unbelievably absurd. There are so many issues with the proposed plan that the majority of us are deeply concerned. For example, slashing funds from Medicare/Medicaid…why?

  • This is one especially important feature of health care. Not covering existing conditions gives more power to already too-powerful insurance companies.
  • It must be hell living in America with no proper healthcare system, poisoned food, and a corrupt government.
