HealthcareJusticeMarch.jpg

On August 1, 2015, a surge forward will be made in the fight for healthcare access for all in the United States. Thousands will gather on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. for the Healthcare Justice March demanding expanded and improved "Medicare for All."

With the legislation already in place—H.R. 676— it's time the people stand behind it.

Starting at 10 a.m. on Aug. 1 in Washington, D.C., thousands of protesters will gather in the National Mall demanding healthcare for all "because no one should profit from another's pain." The rally will include a series of speakers, from Senator Bernie Sanders’ Chief of Staff, Michaeleen Crowell, to 360.org's founder, Bill McKibbon, to help raise awareness of the need for healthcare justice in America.

Sue Saltmarsh, director of the Healthcare Justice March encourages everyone to join the rally, if not in person, via live streaming. To live streams, participants will have to download the Periscope or Meerkat app, both work just like Twitter, to enable live streaming throughout the rally. Follow @HCJusticeMarch on Twitter for up-to-date information before, during and after the rally for the latest news about the Healthcare Justice March.
